Bear River Vineyards

The first vines in Nova Scotia were planted in Bear River in 1611. Over 400 years later, the banks of the river valley are home to Bear River Vineyards - one of the most picturesque vineyards in the province. Housed in a bank barn that was built in 1883, the winery offers 100% estate grown and bottled wines for tasting and sale. Tours are offered upon request and provide guests with an insight into the only gravity fed wine making process in the region. There is also a guest suite with a view of the vineyard for booking.
