GOOD CHEER TRAIL GRAND PRIZE DRAWS OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
In order to be eligible for Good Cheer Trail grand prizes, you must have a minimum of 10 stamps (15 stamps for a free Good Cheer Trail shirt) on your digital passport as of midnight on December 20, 2020. Grand Prize draws will be made on January 6, 2021 and winners will be notified no later than January 13, 2021.
The Good Cheer Trail (Sponsor) contest begins at 12:00pm Atlantic Standard Time (AST) on Thursday, July 9, 2020 and all eligibility for prizing concludes at 11:59 pm (AST) December 20, 2020 (the contest period). Entries received after the contest period shall be disqualified. Draw will be held January 6, 2021 at 4:00pm AST and winners will be notified by January 13, 2021. Prizes must be redeemed by January 6, 2022.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. By having an official ‘Good Cheer Trail Passport’ with at least 10 (ten) digital check-ins and providing your name and email address during the contest period, participants are entered into the grand prize draws; after 15 (fifteen) digital check-ins, you are eligible for a free Good Cheer Trail t-shirt (while supplies last). Once a ‘Good Cheer Trail Passport’ has been used to check-in to the requisite number of trail stops, upload photos of your stamped passport at www.goodcheertrail.com. To win, you will be asked to correctly answer a skill testing mathematical question.
Contest sponsor will be collecting personal data about you (name, address, email address and daytime phone number) for purposes of advising contest winners.

All taxes, fees, surcharges on prizes and gratuities are the sole responsibility of the winner(s).
Prizes must be used by January 6, 2022. No cash awards will be provided in lieu of prizes. All prizes are non-transferable. ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED. A minimum of 20,000 and a maximum of 100,000 entries will be printed, depending on prize sponsor participation in promoting the contest. Winner must execute and return an affidavit of eligibility/release of liability and publicity within ten (10) days of notification. Noncompliance within this time period may result in disqualification, and an alternate winner will be selected.
Grand Prize winner(s) will be determined by a random drawing conducted by the Taste of Nova Scotia on Wednesday, January 26, 2021 at 4:00 pm Atlantic Standard Time (AST) from the eligible entries during the Contest Period.
Taste of Nova Scotia’s decisions as to all matters related to the administration of the contest and selection of winners are final. Entrants selected must comply will all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. The potential winner will be notified by e-mail. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within TEN (10) days after the first attempt to contact such potential winner, an alternate entrant will be selected in his or her place at random from all of the remaining eligible entries.
AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES
Participation in the contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these official rules. By entering the contest, each declared winner consents to the use of his/her name, and photograph for publicity, promotion or advertising purposes, in all media and formats used by the Good Cheer Trail and Taste of Nova Scotia, without further compensation, throughout the world in perpetuity. By entering, participants release and hold harmless the Good Cheer Trail and Taste of Nova Scotia, their members, directors, officers, employees, agents, professional advisors, promotional and marketing agencies and their prize sponsors, from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the contest or receipt or use of any prize.
Contest is open to anyone aged 19 years or more, except employees (and immediate family and household members of such employees) of Good Cheer Trail businesses, Taste of Nova Scotia, their directors, officers, employees, agents, professional advisors, promotional and marketing agencies and their prize sponsors. In these Official Rules, “immediate family” means spouse, domestic partner, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mother and father, mother-in-law, and father-in-law.
By entering this contest, entrants confirm that they have read and understood these Rules. Entrant also agrees, should they become the eligible winner, that they will sign a Declaration of Compliance with the Rules, and a release form releasing the Good Cheer Trail, Taste of Nova Scotia, directors, officers, employees, agents, professional advisors, promotional and marketing agencies and their prize sponsors from any and all claims or liability of any kind arising from or in connection with this contest or a prize, including without limitation, claims or liability in connection with the acceptance, use or misuse of the prize as awarded. All documents must be completed and returned within the period noted on those documents or the prizes may be forfeited.
This contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. All contests are void where prohibited by law.
The Good Cheer Trail/Taste of Nova Scotia reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest if fraud or any other factor impairs the integrity of the contest as determined by the company in its sole discretion.
The Good Cheer Trail and Taste of Nova Scotia assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, or postal service disruption that delays receipt of entries.
